A comment on Twitter by a fellow blogger (sorry I can't remember your name!) made me think about how many bedtime stories we parents read to our children, which in my case definitely add up way more than the ones I've read in recent years.
I thought I'd make a note of the stories that I read to Charlie, these will include the 'ones from my head', I'll give a brief outline though, I won't bore you!
So, tonight's story was Dinosaur's Love Underpants by Clare Freedman. Charlie simply adores this book, it's first choice each night & from a tired mum's perspective it's not too long, the rhymes are fun, simple enough for a five year old to understand & the illustrations are cool too.
