Book 1 #50Books2013

I'm pleased to say that last night I finished Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins which to my surprise was brilliant, I wish I'd picked it up sooner. If you haven't seen the film (why not?) then it's a bit like a futuristic version of what reality TV might become, except with children over the age of 11 as the contestants, who are competing to live, it's hard as a parent to read this especially at the Reapings (where children are chosen as contestants). In parts it's brutal and as the story continued, my heart was in my mouth. For a book classed as a young adults book, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading the sequel, Catching Fire!
  1. The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins
  2. Dysfunctional Romance, Derick Hudson
  3. Catching Fire, Suzanne Collins
